Words we learnt this term



These are all the words we learnt this term! 

1.     convinced – made to believe or feel certain


2.     disappeared – passed out of sight, vanished


3.     impossible – not able to happen


4.     discovered – found


5.     awesome – causing wonder, fear and respect


6.     exhausted – very tired


7.     tremendous – very large or powerful


8.     ignored – paid no attention to


9.     galloped – ran fast, like a horse


10.  blurted out – said something and without thinking


11.   incredible – too unlikely to be believed


12.   directions – line or paths along which someone or something goes


13.    rumpled – wrinkled or creased


14.    situations – sets of conditions at certain moments in time


15.   unusual – not usual, common or ordinary


16.     visible – able to be seen


17.   worried – concerned or anxious


18.     furious – really angry


19.     plunged – fell quickly and suddenly


20.     suggested – offered for consideration or action

25.        conga – a tall, narrow drum with one head that is played by beating with            the hands


26.  percussion – the striking together of two things to create sound; a family    of music instruments played by being struck or shaken.

29.     salsa – a style of Latin American dance music that mixes African, Cuban,    jazz and rock music

30.      theatre – a building where plays, movies or concerts are presented.
